Aigul has over 15 years industry experience as a specialist ground segment engineer, working at companies including Ghalam and KGS in Kazakhstan.
She currently works as Senior Ground Segment Architect for Clutch Space Systems, responsible for the development, configuration, and test campaigns of ground segment products.
Previously she worked as Senior Ground Segment and Operations Engineer at Ghalam LLP, Kazakhstan on the KazSTSAT mission, responsible for the ground segment and operations work packages. This work involved participating in Ghalam’s experimental ground station based on SDR and leading the design and development of the KazSTSAT Ground Segment. This included setup of the KazSTSAT Ground Segment, configuration, testing and production of the user manual and spacecraft procedures documentation.
Between 2006 and 2014 Aigul worked in a variety of ground segment engineering roles in Kazakhstan (Astana), France (Toulouse) and the UK (Guildford) as Ground Segment Team leader, initially for Kazakhstan’s National Earth Observation system program (KazEOSat-1 and KazEOSat-2 missions) and subsequently for the joint-stock company “Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary”, in Almaty, Astana, Kazakhstan.
Aigul has completed a 3 year PhD course in Automation and Control (Almaty Institute of Power Engineering and Telecommunications) as well as an MSc in Electronic Engineering.
