Clutch Space Systems Ltd, a UK-based SME focused on removing the cost and complexity from satellite communications, announces the appointment of Melanie Redding as Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Board. Active within the Technology, Cyber, Space, Telecoms, Security & Defence sectors, Melanie has over 25 years’ experience in senior sales & business development positions directing sales strategy, managing teams and client relationships for major outsourcing organisations in multiple sectors.
With extensive government and commercial expertise, gained from roles at Fujitsu, ICL and Serco and relationships within both the secure/ military space community and industry supplier base, 6 years ago she founded a consultancy (JuMelia Ltd), which has clients within the Defence, Security, Space and Datacentre communities such as Airbus Defence & Space, Ministry of Defence, Catapult, NATS, Sodexo, CH2M Hill and Babcock.

Previously a Member of the ADS (Aerospace, Defence & Security) Security Strategy Board, RUSI and Tech UK, she has represented SMEs as a key member of the Steering Committee for Innovation South and been advisor to the Enterprise M3 LEP. Melanie is an active member of several Women in Technology and Women on Boards groups and serves as Non-Executive Director of a cyber security business (RazorSecure Ltd) which has gone through 2 rounds of seed funding and a Series A of £2m.
